Our technology platform, enables us to rescue resources that would normally go to landfill when people relocate homes. With the help of partner charities, these items are rescued and then redistributed to people in need or used to fund crisis counselling, emergency housing and so much more.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer to support our marketing activities and help our organisation move forward to the next phase. Our Design Champion will work closely alongside the CEO and marketing team to manage the look and functionality of all online platforms including website and social media. This is an excellent opportunity to use and develop your graphic design skills in a small, friendly team in an expanding organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create design solutions that are on brand and have high visual impact for Heart for the Homeless
• Provide advice and support to the Marketing Champion
• Design across a range of materials, particularly social media.
• Know and apply the brand guidelines for content produced.
• Other duties as required

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential
• Proven experience as a graphic designer- web and print
• Great organisational, communication and time-management skills
• Proficiency in all relevant design programs (Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop etc.)
• Working knowledge of design trends and understanding of business and marketing needs
• Enthusiasm and proactive attitude

Desirable
• Demonstrated experience in media and marketing

This role will suit someone who works part-time, as a freelancer or is between jobs. Ideally, we’re looking for somebody who is committed to stay with us long-term.

We are looking for a Social Media Volunteer, who is committed towards our Heart for the Homeless vision and who wishes to work with an enthusiastic team of volunteers.

In your role you will creatively plan, design and execute an effective social media strategy to promote our Heart for the Homeless brand. We are looking for someone who loves social media and self-motivated and creative.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish the digital social media strategy while ensuring marketing campaigns are aligned with wider Heart for the Homeless brand
• Manage content creation and implementation for Heart for the Homeless social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Vimeo
• Overseeing post schedule and monitoring outreach on social media accounts
• Proactively identifying and capitalising on opportunities to support Heart for the Homeless promotion
• Monitoring, investigating and reporting trends in social media tools
• Developing content for marketing within a short turnaround when required
• Assist with creative input and design of marketing collateral
• Planning and participating in campaigns with other volunteers
• Participating actively in planning sessions with other volunteers
• Other duties as required

• Experience in managing social media platforms
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Great eye for detail
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

As a Development Volunteer, you will be passionate about promoting the Heart for the Homeless initiative to potential sponsors.

In your role, you will engage with key players within the real estate and adjacent industries to establish sponsorships, continuously building our portfolio with them. We are looking for someone who is experienced in sales, self-motivated, passionate, and inspired by the vision of our organisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Compiling research on the real estate and adjacent industries with a focus on corporate and philanthropic partners
• Proactively contacting potential corporate sponsors via phone, email and face-to-face
• Networking and meeting potential corporate sponsors to develop mutually beneficial business and sponsorship opportunities
• Negotiating corporate sponsorship agreements
• Developing the Heart for the Homeless portfolio with corporate and community partners
• Other duties as required

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential
• Experience in sales, business development and/or corporate relationships
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills
• Good client presentation skills

• Demonstrated experience and connections in the real estate industry
